Riverdale Art Walk – June 2,3

I’m entering the Riverdale Art Walk this june (booth 89) and I’ve been busy printing up a whole batch of prints. Some of them are in the existing collection on Facebook, but here are some new ones. I’ll post others as I get them ready to upload. These are all low resolution, the prints are something else. I’m using my Epson 3800 with several paper types, but so far I’ve been using the Epson Velvet Fine Art paper.

Some of these I am still working on, I’ll post the finsihed items later.

Uxbridge – Image

Was in Uxbridge dropping off a Wedding Album and went to TooGood Park (or thereabouts). Came across a couple from New Zealand who now live here and watched as they shot video of their son. I couldn’t help it, so I jumped in a got this.

Yamile and Ed – Engagement

Once the weather got warm enough, we headed off to high Park in Toronto for an Engagement Session. The weather chilled off a bit from the one really warm week in April, but the afternoon was still relatively warm. Although it doesn’t look like it, the Park was crowded and parking was hard to get. However Yamile says she really loves the images and can’t wait to see what we do at the wedding.

Here are a few files from a recent wedding at Maclean House, Sunnybrook Estates.Jennifer and Mike were the B&G with an outside ceremony. I’ve posted some of their engagement photos in an earlier post.They opted for an Epoca Album plus a 15 minute slideshow.

Art work on Flashpoint the TV Series

Followers of the series “Flashpoint” night be interested to know that one of my prints of Union Station in Toronto should be in Episode 508 as background in the doctor’s office. Hopefully it gets some screen time if they do any panning.I don’t know the release date, so if you happen across the episode, let me know.

I’ve included the image below. I have some art on various websites and they called me to get permission to use the image. And yes, they did pay for the rental.

High Park Cherry BLossoms – Part II

The weather this time around was much better than 2 days ago, the sun was out in a lightly hazy day and the wind, in the morning, was gentle. The Cherry blossoms are almost completely out and so were the crowds with cameras. I was talking with another photographer and we remarked at how much hardware was just walking around the park. Anyways, I managed to get a couple of shots before the wind picked up and made closeup shooting almost not worth it, but persistence pays off which resulted in the spider shot. (It’s okay, I won’t include the REALLY close up.)

High Park Cherry Blossoms

Went walking around a bit in High Park the other day to check out the Japanese Cherry Blossoms. The morning was slightly overcast with periods of sunshine, but lots of gusting wind which made things a bit tricky. Here are a few images, I hope to go back a bit later when the weather has calmed down a bit.

I’m always looking into programs that help me get an image into the shape that I imangined it to be and recently came across a technique that helps me do that. Here are some images that I have reprocessed into artsy images more closer to what I was thinking about. I printed Jemma out and framed the images, they look really good. If you do anything, yoga, ballet, gymnastics or like the technique and would like a similar style photograph, give me a call and we can arrange a session.

Mississauga Wedding

They did not want to see it, hear about it or smell it. Cheese that is. Cheesy wedding images to be specific. Tara returned from England with her fiancee, Gareth to get married and the last thing they told me they wanted were cheesy photographs of their wedding here. I explained to them that I probably couldn’t shoot cheese anyway, so there was nothing to worry about. Theirs was a small service at the Mississauga City Centre with close family and friends. They were very excited when I showed them their images, yes, they were going “Love it”, “Yes”, and “Wow”. I asked them if it was cheesy and they said the images where exactly what they were looking for. These are just a few of their favorites.
